Bitter seems like such a harsh word because I am not really bitter but I do have to say there is a huge hole in my heart right now. What a great thing for these young men to sacrifice 2 years of thier life to the Lord. To them it is not a sacrfice though. Yesterday we dropped Marc off at the MTC in Utah. Now for the Sweet part.... to watch him walk away from me and turn and give me that sweet smile that lights up a room. He was so ready to go and serve the Lord. I know in my heart(the part without the hole) he will touch the lives of so many people while he is away and I am so very proud of him for making the choice to go. I love you my baby boy!!!! You will certainl,y be missed around here.

Go ahead, make me cry. I just don't do that enough!!!
We wish we could have been there!
We're excited for him and proud of him too. Marc is going to make an awesome missionary!
How are you two doing now that Marc is gone? He is going to be such a great missionary...the people of Fresno are so lucky to be able to have him there. I know that Kayden will miss Marc in Sacrament meeting. He doesn't have anyone to bring his toys back to now.
I'm typing between the tears!!! Marc looks like a grown up man in those pictures...... yourself and Uncle Jay have prepared him for the world. You are all so lucky to have eachother. My thoughts have been with you all as I know it must have been hard to say goodbye for two years. Marc is going to make some people laugh that's for sure! The mountains of Wyoming will sure miss him for awhile!!!!! Love to all,
Linda
You're so strong!! What a blessing you have as a child to be willing to serve Heavenly Father!!
I'm so happy for Marc. I wish you all were here so we could say bye again. July seems so long ago!
Those were nice pics of you all.
Love and miss you,
Deana
well Greg feels terrible he was oing to call Marc before he left, we are sorry we missed that opportunity, you will have to keep us all updated on how is mission is going, if you remember to tell him in a letter, tell him we are proud of him and wish him the best success on his mission.
Hi Hammonds...I don't know if you remember us - the Crosbys (we used to live in the Longwood ward). Anyway, I just linked to your blog from the Sorensons and saw that Marc is now on a mission. I wondered where he was going and had to scroll through a lot of old posts. And he's going to be serving in my "home" mission. SO - if he ever serves in Oakdale (that's the little town where I grew up) I'll have to have all my aunts, uncles, grandparents, and parents feed him.
It's amazing how much changes in such a short time. You guys in Wyoming and everything. Wow. Take care.
