Fall trip to Yellowstone
Jay and I were able to take our fall camping trip this last weekend. We had some really great weather, not too cold at night and sunny days. This year we took some hikes to see things we had not seen before. Funny story....the first hike was only 3.7 miles but as we reached the waterfall we decided to check out another trail that had some thermal pots. The trail was supposed to take us in a loop. Well it took us in a loop allright. A 9 mile loop. We got back to the truck right at dusk. Had bison on the trail we had to divert around but no bear. Good thing. Thankfully we all made it back with only a few blisters and some sore muscles. The next day we took another one but stayed on the trail. I heard the next day the first trail was closed because of too much bear activity. YIKES!!! I only like to see them when I am in the truck. Here are some pictures of the beautiful country.
